10 Things to Take Camping On National Parks

This is by no means a complete checklist but the ones listed below are what came to mind (without thinking really hard) when I thought about what to take on a camping trip at a National Park: 1. Tent
- Any type of tent will do as long as it's comfortable, weatherproof, and fits everyone inside. 2. Sleeping Bag
- Make sure the sleeping bag is suitable the weather i.e. not too hot or too cold. 3. Camping Mattress
- Not many people can sleep well on the hard ground these days. Take an inflatable mattress if it will help you sleep at night. 4. Camping Chair
- The camping chair is considered a luxury item when backpacking. There are places you can on in National Parks but a camping chair is still nice to have 5. Camping Stove
- Take a stove or fire starting stuff if campfires are allowed. A stove is faster and cleaner to make coffee with. 6. Flashlight or Headlamp
- The night would be dead without some sort of illumination. 7. Towel
- You need it for showering and for after swimming. 8. Food and Water
- We all have to eat and drink sooner or later. 9. Extra Clothing
- Change into fresh clothing before you go to bed. It'll help you keep warm and comfy. 10. Spare Change
- Sometimes there's a fee involved when you want to use the shower facilities. If shower facilities are not available, take your own portable camping shower instead. |
